I had told stories of how I went across country on a bike, and he wanted to do the same. Couldn't convince him this isn't the bike to do so.

He went any way. He got to see Death Valley, Grand Canyon, LA, and on the way home, the bike broke down.

The bike went a lot farther than I thought it would. When he got it home, we spent more time working on it. The bike is just old.
